On behalf of digitalMedLab we developed the prototype of a Mobile/Smartwatch App, including a web-based administration, in order to clarify the possibilities and the use of different sensors such as real-time location tracking (GPS), fall detection etc. in the care sector.
Overview
Using the Alert Watch app, you can see the person’s location on a map at any time. If the person moves off from the set place and location the app will send automatically an alert to the care provider with the person’s exact location. In the event of an emergency, the person can press the panic button to initiate emergency mode which triggers a call to the primary account holder. Additionally the app supports fall detection to enable the alert to be sent automatically after a 60 second countdown.
